In an age when most incense is basically a stick of charcoal dipped into chemicals, the true art of rolling incense by hand over slender threads of bamboo is getting quite rare. A couple of years ago, however, we struck gold when we discovered a traditional incense maker in Bangalore using only natural barks, flowers and resins. It is, quite simply, the most supremely intoxicating incense we’ve ever smelt.
