Chrysopogon zizanioides, commonly known as Vetiver (derived from Tamil), is a perennial grass of the Poaceae family, native to India. In western and northern India, it is popularly known as khus.The stems are tall and the leaves are long, thin, and rather rigid; the flowers are brownish purple. It is known for its calming and cooling effect on both mind and body, and is considered “the scent of tranquility” in India.

Burned this for my yoga students this morning and they were freaking out! Best incense I’ve ever smelt by far. Om to you guys.

Maybe one of the best flora’s around. It smells a lot more like the real flower then, say, as essential oil. It is also not cloying or overly sweet. A remarkable incense and well worth the price (actually it is dirt cheap compared to most Japanese scents, I am clueless as to how they manage to do this)
